Age Range:	5 Years to 16 Years (on race day)
Start Times & Event Order	Individual starts from 12 noon to 3pm (times subject to change). Tin, Zinc, Steel, Bronze, Silver, Gold

Welcome to the Chesham Kids Fun Triathlon, part of the Buckinghamshire Weekend of sport, where young athletes are set to embark on a journey of excitement, challenge and accomplishment.

While there may be an element of friendly competition, the emphasis is on participation rather than just winning. Every child is encouraged to do their best and enjoy the experience without unnecessary pressure.

As organisers of the biggest triathlon series across the UK we are passionate and proud about what we do.

The Kids Fun Triathlons are no exception and leave everyone with a special sense of achievement at the end of an event.

All ages are for guidance only, your child can take part in any distance they are happy to complete.

Don't want to go it alone?

Take part a relay team of two or three and share the challenge of swim, bike, run! We just need your team captains info to complete an entry form and your team is good to go!

Race Day Information - Coming Soon

Full and up-to-date 2024 Event day information with your race number and start time will be emailed to you 7-10 days before the event.

WE DO NOT POST ANYTHING OUT - you will collect your race numbers, stickers etc. at registration on the day.

Chesham Kids Bike and Run Course

The Swim

There will be a verbal briefing prior to the children starting the event. This will be repeated through out the event.
The Children will be started at 15 second intervals in the pool so there are no mass starts.
The swim course is in the heated indoor pool for all event distances. The children swim their chosen distance within the swim lane, when they have finished their distance, they will exit the water.
Children are permitted to use swim arm bands if they wish.
Safety in the water: there will be life guards, & race crew around the water at all times; they will guide the children after the swim and point them towards the transition area.

The Bike

The whole of the bike course is on grass, & is fully post and taped, making it very easy to navigate for the children.
There will be signage around the venue reminding children of how many laps they are meant to do.
There will be marshals on the course and dismount line, to help any child that needs it.
Children will not be allowed to take part without a bike helmet.

The Run

The whole of the run course is on short grass and is flat as well as being inside the grounds of Chesham Grammar School, making it safe for the children.
There is a feedstation on the run course, serving water to any child that requests one
All children will pass under the Official UK Triathlon Finish Line and have their name announced as they finish.

Parents/Carers

The race day envelope will be given to the child at Registation on the day. This envelope will contain, 1 race number, 2 bike stickers & 2 wristbands. The child wears the child wristband and a parent/carer wears the adult wristband.
One person (aged 18 or over) is permitted to help the child in the transition area. This person will be required to wear the corresponding numbered adult wristband.
To gain entry to the transition area, all stickers must be attached to the cycle and cycle helmet and the parent/carer helping the child must be wearing the corresponding numbered adult wristband.
A parent/carer are permitted to run alongside their child on the cycle and run courses if the child needs addional support.
